Coral Sands Hotel, Hikkaduwa

The hotel staff did their best to address room issues, with a slight delay in readiness, offering a pleasant stay. Despite some drawbacks, the friendly and efficient service enhanced our experience, especially thanks to Dhammika, Nishan, and Gayan who went above and beyond. Although the location had its disappointments, being on a good beach made up for it. The dining options were basic but satisfactory, and overall, the stay provided decent value for money.

Despite the rooms not being as modern as expected from the online photos, the unexpected upgrade to the first floor turned out to be a perk, especially with the kids. The service was exceptional, much friendlier than in other larger hotels. The location, though not as many activities as advertised, offered ample space for kids to play and direct beach access for snorkeling. The dining experience, while not meeting expectations, provided a fair variety at a reasonable price.

The hotel offers spacious rooms with excellent facilities and a large terrace equipped with sunbeds and a parasol. The rooms feature TV, A/C, and small kitchens. However, there were minor issues with water on the bed. The service was exceptional with friendly and helpful staff. The location is superb, right on the beach with excellent snorkeling opportunities. The dining experience was very good with a variety of meal choices. Overall, a fantastic holiday experience with some room for improvement.
